OPTIMA Results and Achievements Presentation at TRA 2022 (Lisbon 16th November 2022)

On 16th November, Cecchetti (OPTIMA Technical Leader) presented the main results and achievements of the OPTIMA project, three months ahead its finalization. Apart from the introduction of the project and the reasoning behind, Gabriele explained the Communication Platform Demonstrator (CPD) designed, developed and validated in OPTIMA to manage the link between the TMS applications and the different services.



He introduced the work performed in the different modules that constituted the CPD, the Integration and persistence layer supported by the standardized data structure of the Conceptual Data Model, the Rail Business Services related to the Radio Block Centres (RBC), Interlocking, Weather, Energy, Maintenance, Passenger Information System (PIS), Application Framework and Operator Workstation. All of them installed in the CPD hardware and using the basic software to allow its integration and validation.

TRA, the Transport Research Arena, is the foremost European transport event that covers all transport modes and all aspects of mobility. It is the largest European research and technology conference on transport and mobility.

TRA offers a great venue for researchers, policymakers and industry representatives to get together and contribute to the discussion on how research and innovation can reshape the transport and mobility system. The conference provides a unique opportunity to hear about mobility trends in different parts of Europe, learn from achievements in the industry as well as share best practices of policies and deployments.
